Hello people! <3
Hope your holidays have been lovely and swagged out. Despite the pandemic that will never end, I’ve been managing to have a nice time. I recommend watching every x-mas special available, most importantly Pee Wee’s Christmas Special.
I went on my good friend Dan’s podcast, DIAL #DAN last week (Dan also did my first ever friend post which is available here). It was really fun and I got pretty drunk and we talked about “things that happened in 2020.” We managed to get through 100 things, so if you can manage listening to us talk for about two hours then please go ahead and do it by clicking HERE. So far the reviews have been good:
Now getting down to business:
I will be posting my weekly substack post tomorrow but for now I am here to tell you I have new prints for sale. All of them are available for purchase on my website, LEIAJ.COM
Here is a preview of the pix that are available, sizes are 5 x 7 ($25), 8 x 10 ($50), & 11 x 14 ($85). Also, if you have a specific print request you don’t see, shoot me an email and we can work something out (special requests start at $50)
Also for sale I have a book I collab’d with my good friend Jean Kim on called “DIY BACKPAIN?” Jean used my photos from DIY Show days for a flip book, one side are my photos and the other are good stretches to relieve pain that may have been caused by going to a show packed in with a bunch of psychotic teenagers <3
She printed, bound and designed the book and it’s really lovely. I have about 15 total and they probably will never be made again. They’re available for $15, which includes shipping! You can also check out Jean’s incredible other books on her website www.extracredit.work
“EC #005 pays tribute to the last days of the New York DIY scene and provides some relief to those of us who enjoyed it a little too much. One side of this flipbook features photos by Leia Jospe and a millennial twist on an old saying: “we do not inherit our bodies from our twenties, we borrow them from our thirties”; the other shows some handy back exercises for neck, shoulders, and backs wrecked from moshing and crowd-surfing in basements and warehouses around Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan.
First edition (December 2019) RISO printed in assorted duotone. Perfect/tape bound; 3.75x2 inches;”
As far as shipping goes - we know the postal service is overwhelmed and being fucked with, so I will try and be as communicative as possible with when things are getting printed, picked up and shipped out. If you have any questions never hesitate to drop me an email: leiajospe@gmail.com
Anyway that’s pretty much it over here to update you on. As always, thanks for subscribing and supporting me throughout this fucked time that sucks ass, you are helping make it better for me - which I appreciate. I hope I am making it a little bit better for you as well!!
If you have only signed up for free updates, you’re not gettin all the good shit and you can start subscribing at leiaj.substack.com/subscribe.
Ok! That’s it. Love ya xoxoxo ttyl <3
